St Jude School, a Pre School through 8 Catholic School, is a community of faith and learning where dedicated teachers and caring parents work together to provide a quality education in the Roman Catholic tradition.
We are committed to fostering academic excellence as well as guiding our students to serve God and others.
St. Jude School is a small community where each child is known as an individual and is a valuable asset to the school.
A small teacher-student ratio allows us to provide more personalized instruction to our children.
We are fully accredited by the State of Connecticut and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
Our program includes Religion, Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Music, Physical Education, Art, Computer Science, Library Skills, and Spanish.
The students attending our school consistently score high on standardized tests.
We have a high success rate, which can be seen in the strength of the achievements of our students in high school and college.
We have a dedicated, loving, caring, and supportive team of certified teachers who assist our students in maximizing their potential. Our teachers have Master’s Degrees and are Connecticut State certified.
Our faculty also includes a resource teacher/reading specialist,  classroom aides, and a full time nurse.
I am proud to say that our teachers are always willing to go that extra mile for our students.
St Jude School emphasizes the Gospel Values of Faith in God, Truth, Respect for Life, Community, Service, Simplicity, Justice, Peace, Compassion and Forgiveness.   These are the values needed as our students prepare to be future leaders.

School Reviews

  • Recommended July 27, 2012 - I couldn''t be happier with the faith filled and strong academic community of St. Jude School. We have had all of our children in St. Jude and have found the school to be a wonderful balance of academic strength in a supportive and still structured environment. The children are expected to excel in their school work, morals and behavior. - Posted by Parent
  • Recommended June 20, 2012 - I have been so pleased with our educational experience at St. Jude. I am amazed at the academic programs which are offered. My children have been learning Spanish from a very young age and my older children are in advanced math classes, which is very impressive for a smaller school. The recent technology enhancements have been wonderful. By integrating iPads into various classrooms, the teachers have been able to supplement the information which is found in the text books. My children are so happy when they come home every day. Happy kids = happy parents! Keep up the great work, St. Jude! - Posted by Parent
  • Recommended June 20, 2012 - St. Jude School has a strong academic program as evidenced by outstanding standardized test scores, as well as seamless transition of graduates to the top high schools in the area. St. Jude has full offering of art, music, sports and extracurricular activites aimed at developing the whole student. St. Jude School continues an agressive investment strategy in updating facilities and effectively integrating technolgy in the classroom. It certainly provide the families of Monroe with a superb choice. - Posted by Parent

These attributes of St. Jude school will help guide my children in their future endeavors. - Posted by Parent
  • Recommended June 20, 2012 - St. Jude provides a rigorous curriculum that prepares its students for high school , college and beyond. I have had three children attend this wonderful school and can attest to their individual development both academically and spiritually. St. Stude students consistently score in the top 15% on national standardized test and are frequently recognized in the local meadia for their individual achiecments in both high school and college. I highly recommend St. Jude to perspective families looking for the best for their children. - Posted by Parent
