Westover is a selective boarding and day school of 206 girls, grades 9-12, located in a classic New England town 90 miles from New York City. We prepare our students to meet the challenges of the world's top colleges. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Westover has a dynamic and diverse student body of 206 girls from 18 states and 18 countries, with plenty of course and extracurricular offerings to encourage students to expand thinking and problem solving skills in a rigorous, yet collaborative learning environment. Westover is a community of scholars and a gathering of students and teachers whose shared efforts and goals result in a broad, deep, and durable education. Westover offers many signature programs: WISE (Women in Science and Engineering), a co-curricular program with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; a music program with the Manhattan School of Music; SOMSI (Sonja Osborn Museum Studies Internship), an internship program in conjunction with the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, Connecticut; OSG (Online School for Girls), online courses for students taught by consortium faculty; IIG (Invest in Girls), a program offering students financial education workshops and one-on-one mentoring with financial professionals; and the Westover Poets Program. In addition to our signature programs, Westover offers formal exchanges with schools in Australia, England, France, Jordan, South Africa, and Spain.
