- Westover is a selective boarding and day school of 209 girls, grades 9-12, located in a classic New England town 90 miles from New York City. We prepare our students to meet the challenges of the world's top colleges. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Westover has a dynamic and diverse student body of 200 girls from 19 states and 16 countries, with plenty of course and extracurricular offerings to encourage students to expand thinking and problem solving skills in a rigorous, yet collaborative learning environment. Westover is a community of scholars and a gathering of students and teachers whose shared efforts and goals result in a broad, deep, and durable education. Westover offers three special programs: WISE (Women in Science and Engineering), a co-curricular program with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; a dance program with Brass City Ballet; and a music program with the Manhattan School of Music. In addition to our special programs, Westover offers formal exchanges with schools in Australia, England, France, Jordan, South Africa, and Spain.
