School Notes Overview: |
St. Michael’s School and Nursery is committed to the growth and support of children’s development in mind, body, character and spirit. We provide an exemplary, affordable program of early education and childcare in a nurturing atmosphere. St. Michael’s welcomes all children.
St. Michael’s has developed an innovative learning program for young children that we call Early School. Brain research of the past 10 years is pointing to the first years of life as the most critical time of growth and development for the human brain. Babies and young children are avid learners taking in everything around them. The first years of life present windows of opportunity when the basis for literacy, math, science, health and nutrition, art and music, motor skills and social/emotional adjustment are all developed and set down for life. Broadening our children’s life experiences and exposing them to many opportunities helps develop a strong foundation for school readiness and later success in life.
