The dePaul School For Dyslexia

2747 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL, 33759-0337
The dePaul School for Dyslexia provides an alternative educational experience for  youth, and children with learning disabilities and attention deficits. Individuals are taught in programs structured to help promote personal success through evaluation, assessment and specialized instruction. The dePaul School Summer Reading Camp focuses on improving basic reading and literacy skills. Each student receives instruction in dePaul Structured Linguistics, Auditory Discrimination and Reading. As the program is designed for students struggling with reading or experiencing learning difficulties, admission screening may be required to determine eligibility. The dePaul School was founded in 1970 in Louisville, Kentucky and was locally established in 1983 to provide an educational facility for students who are recognized to have learning differences, especially dyslexia. A full-time school curriculum is provided for these students with the expressed intention of returning them as quickly as possible to the ongoing educational system - be that public, private, or parochial. We make no promises as to the rate of achievement of our students. In an environment structured to these real needs, they move as rapidly as possible. Some students have needed only a year of specialized instruction; most students have required more than that. Daily P.E. classes cover the sports listed on the Sports List plus additional excersises.

School Reviews:

  • Recommended March 05,2013 - Love the personal touch. My child has really been able to open up, grow and mature. Very loving environment.*-Posted by Parent *
  • Recommended May 21,2012 - This school really helped me a lot. They have smaller class rooms so the tea hers can have one on one time if you don''t understand the lesson. And in the delta program (middle school) you can rent out an iPad for the school year and starting in the school year of 2012 ever classroom will have a smart board. And all the staff are super nice. If you are look for a school for your child then you should look here.*-Posted by Student/Alumni *
