12401 Stirling Rd, Ft Lauderdale, FL, 33330-0333
Flamingo Road Christian Academy is a ministry of Flamingo Road Church. Pastor Bill Billingsley of Sheridan Hills Baptist Church in Hollywood Florida had a vision of what the future held for the “far reaches” of west Broward County. In 1981 Sheridan Hills started Flamingo Road Baptist Church as a mission church. Flamingo Road’s first leader was Pastor Hammer. Pastor Hammer and his wife had a passion to fill the need for a Christian school to serve the growing community. In 1983 Flamingo Road Christian Academy was born. The Academy started as a preschool for children 2 to 4 years old. Mrs. Hammer directed the Academy until her family was called to start another church in 1985.
