School Notes Overview:
New Horizon Academy is a high school fully accredited by Association of Independent Schools of FL and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. AISF is recognized by the Florida Association of Academic Nonpublic Schools as an accrediting agency for private schools in Florida. AISF is also a Charter Member of the National Council for Private Schools Accreditation which serves as a national review panel for the standards and procedures of private school accrediting associations throughout the United States. AISF is also a member of the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation. New Horizon Academy's goal is to teach the whole child. Not only does NHA strive to educate the student, it also helps him to develop a responsible attitude. Time frames are set for projects to be completed. Accomplishments go hand in hand with NHA's goal of having each student raise their self esteem. It has been proven that in a small class setting most students have little difficulty in raising their grade point average, leading to students feeling better about themselves. New Horizon Academy also encourages students to assist other students in areas where they are strong. At times the best way to learn is by teaching someone else. NHA assists each student to choose realistic goals and effects a team effort in having the student attain such.
