School Notes Overview: |
Founded in 1995, New School Preparatory provides students in Kindergarten through Grade Eight with a demanding academic curriculum based on the Multiple Intelligences and the International Baccalaureate. The New School experience is founded on the belief that every child deserves a safe, empowering environment and access to an enriched, interdisciplinary curriculum. Students are exposed to a rigorous academic experience that emphasizes all major areas of knowledge, including language, science and technology, mathematics, foreign language, visual and performing arts, health and social education, humanities, and community service. New School appeals to those families seeking a rigorous, arts-enriched academic program within a safe, supportive environment. “It’s our fundamental responsibility to prepare students to live in the societies of today and tomorrow,” notes Morris Sorin, New School’s founder and director. “We stress the importance of critical and creative thinking and problem solving.” ...read more
