Ben Franklin Academy
School Notes Overview:
The primary mission of the Ben Franklin Academy is to offer students a college-preparatory high school diploma through individualized instruction, with careful regard for each student's different learning styles and abilities. We seek students who are somehow at risk of failure in conventional schools, or who are not being adequately served by other schools, and we provide these students a high-quality college preparatory education, a respected diploma, and help with taking their next steps into college and career. We offer each of our students quality individual instruction leading to a fully accredited college-preparatory high school diploma; demonstrated mastery of the subject matter taught; and help with learning how to plan, manage and carry out academic work. We also help our graduates to take the next steps into college or career, and we follow them afterward, providing counseling and academic support where needed. Our secondary goal is to continue our involvement and leadership in school restructuring and technological innovation. We seek to share our vision widely with other educators in Georgia and the nation....
