During the week, the middle school students investigated properties of water, used the engineering design process, Bamboo tablets and mathematical principles to construct and test their ROVs. In teams, students performed underwater missions. They learned about marine and ocean science careers through a presentation by Dr. Carrie Thomas from The College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. To conclude the STEM learning experience, students traveled to Araphoe, NC to participate in team building activities and study the Neuse River. They learn about marine invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians and dissected a squid. We had an awesome week! Let us know what you think about the program.")
