John Hancock Academy is the home of the rebels. Our philosophy is to train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. John Hancock Academy offers both a college preparatory diploma and general diploma to meet the needs of its students. A Beka, Bob Jones, and Saxon Math/Phonics curriculums are utilized. General diploma students are encouraged to attend one of the nearby vocational schools. Many of John Hancock Academy graduates go on to higher education....

Briarwood Academy senior pitcher Cane Gilmer gave it everything he had and a little more in his complete game on the mound against David Emanuel Academy at the Briarwood field last Friday. A very young Briarwood Academy literary team captured first place overall in the GISA Region 1-A Literary meet Monday at East Georgia College in Swainsboro.
