Tiftarea Academy is a K4 through 12th grade independent school which seeks to provide foundations for a satisfying and productive life for each of its students. Academically, Tiftarea Academy encourages excellence for all students and strives to lay the proper foundation for student success at the college level. The educational environment is based on the traditional values of honor, achievement, and citizenship and is characterized by a strong sense of family. High standards for student behavior and appearance contribute to the development of the total student and foster a sense of individual and community responsibility. Students of Tiftarea Academy are encouraged to take advantage of a wide range of activities in recognition of the belief that many valuable lessons can be acquired outside of the classroom. Through athletics and other extracurricular activities, students learn the necessity of physical conditioning, the demands of competition, and the value of fair play. CHULA — Desperately wanting a home playoff game, the Tiftarea Academy Panthers needed two things to happen Friday night. Scoring on their first play from scrimmage against the Valwood School Valiants, the Panthers got one thing, a 42-7 home victory on Senior Night.

TIFTON — A Turner County jailer was shaken but not seriously injured Thursday morning when an inmate he was transporting to a Tifton doctor’s appointment allegedly got out of his handcuffs and attempted to escape the patrol car.

MACON — The Tiftarea Academy Panthers traveled to Macon Friday night to face the Windsor Academy Knights in a Region 3-AA contest, and emerged with a 42-8 victory. The win helped the Panthers clinch a state playoff spot.
Warriors hold off Panther comeback (Tifton Gazette)

CHULA — Down 21-6 at the half, the Tiftarea Academy Panthers staged a furious second-half comeback Friday night at home against the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors. However, the Warriors managed to hold on for a 35-26 victory in the Region 3-AA football opener for both sides.
