The longer and more complex the route to completion the better. Rube Goldberg was an American cartoonist and inventor (1883-1970) whose cartoons depicted these over-engineered machines. The elements used by Damien students in the contest included burining candles, balloons, a motorized toy battle tank, a traffic cone, and a mousetrap and even an air gun.")
