Kids Kab in Downers Grove doesn't operate like a traditional cab service. Customers can't just call up at the last minute -- they have to register in advance. And most of the passengers aren't old enough to drive.

Registration is open for the Oct. 12 ACT achievement test. The ACT has four sections -- English, mathematics, reading and science and takes about three hours to complete. Students who take the ACT Plus Writing complete an optional writing test that requires an additional 30 minutes.
