Local students remember veterans OCEANSIDE ---- Classical Academy students, parents and staff placed more than 2,000 red tissue poppies made by students on the gravesites of military veterans at Eternal Hills Cemetery on May 22. Leadership teacher Lesley Clifton was in charge of the campaign to have students create the paper poppies in May as a way to pay tribute to the military.
