Lor-Jon Montessori School is a Montessori School established in 1980 by Lorna Lowe. She built it with love and an understanding of Maria Montessori’s respect of the child and their internal need for knowledge. Lor-Jon Montessori School provides a carefully planned, stimulating environment which would help our children develop within themselves an excellent foundation for creative learning….to develop the basic ideas, a thirst for learning, favorable attitudes toward school, habits of concentration, of initiative, of order and of persistence. It is goal of school to support and facilitate the education and development of children by stimulating the growth of each child’s Mind, Body, and Spirit according to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. To this end, we have prepared an environment that is engaging and responsive to each child at each stage of development. Lor-Jon Montessori School is committed to excellence in education. This education is conceived in the strong implementation of “meet the child’s need first…at all times” belief. This commitment is realized with a strong partnership between school and family, for the benefit of each child.
