School Notes Overview:

The Mary P. Moody Christian Academy developed from the insight of Mother Mary Portis-Moody and her daughter Dr. Marie Moody-James. Mother Moody founded God’s House of Love Prayer and Deliverance Holiness Church in 1979. Before her home going, she organized the House of Love Day Care Center. Dr. Marie Moody-James, with a vision for the wholesome development of children through education, as well as spiritual growth, disbanded the day care center in favor of a Christian School. Thus the school named Mary P. Moody Christian Academy held its first orientation July 2, 1989. The goal of our grade 1-8 program is to prepare students for success in high school and college. Today's high school environments are challenging, varied, and often filled with secular philosophies going against the grain of Christianity. To succeed, a student needs not only intellect, but also biblical character, a solid faith in Christ, along with broad learning experiences and plenty of prayer. It is our intent to encourage each of these.
