North Park Elementary School was founded in 1980. North Park Elementary School, a private non-sectarian school, provides a quality education in academic, critical thinking, and living skills for its students, and motivates them to explore the world of knowledge. The school personnel create a supportive environment for learning and for the development of positive individual attitudes such as self-esteem, self-discipline, and self-motivation. The school staff strives to enhance the learning experience of each student by being aware of his or her individual needs. Through the active involvement of parents and a caring professional teaching staff, the school nurtures a sense of community in which the students achieve their maximum potential. NPES is dedicated to the development of the whole child. Our emphasis upon the whole child is reflected in small class sizes, a focus on individual needs and a strong academic curriculum integrating the fine arts. We are committed to teaching basic education skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social science, and critical thinking, using the best of contemporary and traditional techniques. We seek to stimulate and foster personal creativity and a love of the arts. We encourage a spirit of cooperation and provide a setting in which students learn from each other as well as from the teacher.
