SMS is a great school that I would recommend to anyone. As a parent who is not Catholic and had a public school education, I was hesitant to send my kids to SMS when we live in a good public school system. After talking to a couple of public school teachers in good school districts that sent their kids to Catholic schools, I relented. All of my children are now attending and I can not express how grateful I am that we made this decision. The kids are demonstrably getting a superior education that they would have otherwise gotten in the public system but the reasons I see SMS as being superior go far deeper than the actual education. The community that they have among their peers and the other school families is deeper than anything you can ever get in a public school setting. The athletic department is very competitive and deepens that sense of community and bonds among their peers while helping the kids develop athletically. I have observed the kids in many ways at different ages and consistently showing themselves to be good kids with good hearts- that is something this organization helps develop and encourages. I can't recommend SMS more.
