    Stef Tovar, who grew up in Bartlett and graduated from Elgin's St. Edward Central Catholic High School, is the founder and artistic director of Route 66 Theatre Company, which currently is mounting a musical theater take on "High Fidelity." The London-based Nick Hornby novel was made into a movie starring John Cusack and Jack Black and set in Chicago.

    Forget the three R's. This school year, students will be learning the three C's: clean, cover and contain. The three C's are part of the new flu guidance issued Friday by the Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois State Board of Education. Those guidelines are meant to decrease the spread of both the regular seasonal flu and H1N1 flu.
