A full time Director of Music leads an excellent instructional music program for students in all grades. Beyond the comprehensive music curriculum, students have the opportunity to participate in choir, band, handbells, and piano lessons.
Investigative and hands-on Science are part of the well rounded curriculum at St. Paul's School. Upper grade students are challenged with robotics and programming activities.
Young artists in all grade levels are given weekly opportunities to be creative and expressive in a variety of art mediums.
The foundation of the school educational program is the truth and promises of God's Word found in the Bible. Jesus Christ is at the center of all teaching and learning in and out of the classroom.
Professional artist, Gerald Brommer, recently taught a unit on oil painting to the Junior High students. Striving for excellence is a key component to the success of St. Paul's students.
Competitive athletics for boys and girls is offered in all seasons. Basketball, flag football, softball, volleyball, baseball, and track and field are the primary team programs. St. Paul's teams participate in an area Christian league and a Southern California Lutheran school association.
Student field trips to enhance and enrich every child's educational experience are taken in all grade levels. Upper elementary students venture to Catalina Island. Junior High students enjoy a winter camp at Lake Arrowhead and a week long trip to Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area. Local trips include Van Nuys Airport, the Getty Villa and Griffith Observatory.

St. Paul's is a great school. I have a child in 2nd and 4th grade. They both love the school and don't want to go to anywhere else. It is a great place to send your child if you are looking for a great staff who sincerely care about your child and want to see them succeed. You get the feeling of family when you walk in the gates. It is the right size school that your child will never get lost in translation. Great place to make great memories.

There isn't enough space here for me to list everything I love about St. Paul's First Lutheran School. I will quote from their School Handbook, page 4: "The Word assures us that every person is God's special creation for whom God has a special purpose." It is this spiritual principle that guides the staff as they interact uniquely with each child at St. Paul's. God's Word is the basis of everything they do; my kids have been extremely blessed by people for whom teaching is not only a gift, but a calling. Our daughter went to St. Paul's Preschool and was well-prepared for Kindergarten and beyond. She's now in 4th grade and is following her brother, who is in 6th grade, through the school's excellent academic, music, sports and Christian studies programs. The Principal is a Godly leader with a servant's heart. Every teacher has exceeded my expectations, and understands my kids in a way that is only possible with God's Word as their rock-solid foundation. And by putting scripture into practice, students are taught to "love your neighbor as yourself." Accordingly, the kids are respectful and polite, both to adults and to each other. I highly recommend this fun, safe, nurturing and spiritually enriching environment to anyone looking for a place for their children to learn.

St. Paul's is great if you want your child to grow in academics, build character, and participate in sports and music in a safe, community oriented school. The best part is that the students are relaxed and able to enjoy their childhood.

I have a student going into 2nd grade and another entering the 4 year old kindergarten class this year. The teachers are excellent and continuously go above and beyond to assist their students. The school is a great size and has a family feeling. The music program is wonderful and they have lots of athletics. Overall this is a great school for a family looking for a solid academic, Christian experience.

Asking good questions at your job interview will improve your chances. Conversely asking bad questions will damage them.
