The vision of ThornCreek Christian School is to create a Christ-centered environment that will introduce unchurched students to Jesus Christ, make disciples of Christ followers, and excel academically. This is a place where students discover God's love through a deep-rooted relationship with Jesus Christ.
We want students to learn how to be in the world, but not of the world. This is not a school focused on becoming a shelter from the world. Rather, it`s a place where students learn what it means to be salt and light in today's world.
It`s a place where students learn their true identity in Christ.
It`s a place where unchurched students can safely explore their faith in God, and come to know God`s love at a personal level.
It`s a place where students take ownership of their Christian faith, gain a critical understanding of religions, and develop a healthy biblical worldview.
It`s a place where students become grounded in God`s word, and grace and truth are lifted high. It`s a place where audacious faith is embraced, students are encouraged to dream big, and a God-driven life is celebrated. Our academic goal is to equip and inspire every student to become college-bound focused, lifelong learners, effective communicators, creative souls, and servant leaders.
Academic excellence will not be compromised.
Students will learn godly leadership, responsibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
Students will develop the necessary personal disciplines in preparation for college. Every student will become comfortable using cutting-edge technology. We want them to discover the divine partnership of God working through them that produces greater results.
The end goal is to strategically position students for the very best college, university, venture, or military service of their choice, and to see them excel in that career path with confidence and integrity as a disciple of Christ. We want our students to develop the relational skills to work with others in team and group settings.
This is a life lesson.
Students will learn teamwork, the joy of winning and the growth in losing.
Athletics, team sports, and competition, will be embraced.
We want them to learn to work with all types of people, and the art of aligning a team for greater results.Above all, we want our students to discover what it means to love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself.
Our teachers are more than educators; they are Christ-driven servant leaders. It`s a place where people truly believe anything is possible with God.It is our goal for ThornCreek Christian School to become the premier choice for education in all of the north Denver area.

School Notes

  • As a ministry of the Calvary Community Baptist Church, the purpose of Community Christian School is to provide an educational service to parents who seek to fulfill the God-given responsibility to train their children according to Biblical truth and principle. This purpose shall be accomplished through the instructional development of each student into the realization and importance of viewing all aspects of this world and life from a thoroughly Biblical perspective, thus instilling in each student the likeness of Christ. It is the mission of the Community Christian School to provide quality academics in a Christ-centered learning environment that will lead each student to Christ, and as a result, help them become an effective member of society. In educating students, we seek to prepare them for a meaningful Christian life as we present a positive Christian world view, and to develop their full potential spiritually, academically, emotionally, physically, and socially. As educators, we seek to help our students realize their full potential as human beings in Gods perfect will for their lives and thus motivate them to a positive attitude toward learning and academics.
