A 2020 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Brother Rice High School is a Catholic, College Preparatory School dedicated to the development of faith, character and brotherhood of young men for success in life.
Brother Rice High School educates young men in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Edmund Rice.
For 60 years, this strong Catholic faith community has been steeped in the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brother Education.
Brother Rice invests in each student, helping him to develop his mind, body, and spirit through every academic, athletic, and extracurricular experience. Every student at Brother Rice is challenged to grow, both inside and outside the classroom.
The school continues to leverage technology, through its 1:1 iPad program, while implementing the best educational practices, to unleash the full potential of each student.
Brother Rice students undertake a rigorous college preparatory program which includes more than 38 honors and Advanced Placement courses.
A robust counseling curriculum supports the growth of the whole person.
The Achieve Plus Center provides a supportive learning environment for students who needs additional support in mastering subject area content.
The Campus Ministry department offers spiritual formation activities in the form of masses and retreats.
All students must complete Christian service hours; many choose to work with marginalized populations locally, while some students participate in international and domestic immersion mission experiences. Student athletes can participate in 14 different sports.
Further engagement opportunities exist in over 25 extracurricular clubs and organizations.
All students participate in the Band of Brothers program which enhances camaraderie while providing leadership and mentoring opportunities for the young men.
