Beechwood School

  • The Beechwood School is a family owned, independent, state licensed preschool and kindergarten.
  • It opened in 1951 at its present site by the Rodman family.
  • It was one of the first nursery schools and summer camps in the area.
  • The Beechwood School believes that children develop at their own pace, naturally and sequentially if given time and stimulation.
  • The needs of the children at each developmental level are important.
  • These needs are met by providing age appropriate activities and environments that include social, emotional, intellectual, creative, and physical aspects of learning.
  • Children, when ready, will be able to internalize information and concepts which lead to mastering a skill.
