Carden School is a hidden gem. We have two children who attend Carden and we couldn't be happier. Tuition includes before and after school daycare and is comparable or less than other private schools in the area. The students range from PK (3-4 years old) to 8th grade. The students learn French, computers and music in addition to their homeroom classes and PE five days a week. The music program and public speaking talents of the students are amazing. Both my children read well above their grade levels and perform above average on their SAT tests. The foundation that the students learn at Carden will definitely prepare any student for high school.

Carden is an outstanding school. My son age 6 loves school even though it is academically challenging -- they are starting fractions in kindergarten. They have music, art and French, PE in addition to a focus on the fundamentals. My son can read (not site words) but from a book because they teach reading not memorization. He can add up to double simple carrying and subtract up to 10. It's a little expensive for us because we don't need the after school care which is included in the tuition. Our son generally stays though because it is like the old neighborhood play ground, an experience most of our kids don't get anymore.
