At Delphian, you won't find teachers lecturing while students rotely take notes. You will find students studying independently, actively engaged in learning, and moving at the speed that is right for them.
At Delphian, you'll design your own high school education, much like at university. There are core courses which everyone does, but many others that you can choose based on your own interests.
Then you'll study these subjects on your own, or maybe along with another student, learning from your materials instead of from a teacher lecturing to the whole class at once.
Not sure about studying independently, without a teacher? Most people don't know there is an actual technology of study - ways to learn without memorization or memory tricks. With the right study tools, a student can be his own best teacher. At Delphian, you'll learn how to be just that.
Shouldn't education be about more than studying to pass a test? Our students spend at least 50% of their academic day on practical drills and projects - time spent relating a subject to how it can be used in life. When you study with a mind to how you will use the information, the subject becomes useful to you.
Practical projects often involve career interest areas. Songwriter? Game designer? Mathematician? You can explore any subject of your choosing. Delphian students design and create their own practical projects.
Delphian seniors often take on community outreach projects involving global citizenship as part of their academic programs.
When the academic day is over, our students participate in afternoon classes of their choosing - music, art, theater, athletics, game design, film, photography...on average 22 elective activities to choose from throughout the year.
We think of these as complimentary 'co'-curriculars, not 'extra'-curriculars, because music, art, athletics and all the rest are part of a well-rounded education.
Shouldn't your education be about you? Shouldn't it give you the freedom to explore subjects you're interested in? Visit Delphian.org and learn how to create your own education.

School Notes

  • Shouldn't education be about more than studying to pass exams? Shouldn't your education be about you? What if you could design your own educational program? What subjects would you study? What skills would you learn? What roads would you explore?
  • At Delphian, you won`t find teachers lecturing while students rotely take notes. You will find students actively engaged in learning, studying independently and moving at the speed that is right for them. You`ll see lively one-on-one and small group discussions on works of literature, art, business, science or current events. You`ll see students creating clay models to explain and demonstrate a concept. A student giving a presentation on his apprenticeship experience or a topic he`s just researched. And students heading to the science lab or out into the world to test or explore a theory.
  • The Delphi Program is designed to help students relate what they`re learning to how they will use this information to succeed in life, and you`ll find our students living their education from the moment they walk into our school.  Our faculty excel at keeping students motivated and on track with their studies, and you can be assured that each student receives highly personal attention-every academic program isindividually designed to best cater to the student's academic needs and interests. Each student at Delphian is treated as an individual, and we seek to help all of them find their own purpose and use for their education.

School Reviews

5  5/17/2016
As a parent, it's so important to me to be able to have direct access to my children's teachers and that they are willing and interested in communicating with me about my child. I get this in spades at Delphian. The teachers are wonderful and very interested in each individual child's future. I so appreciate that.
