Notes for Prospective Students
Lake Pointe Academy is a private tuition based and
"non-categorical" school program - therefore a "diagnosis" or a
label is NOT required to benefit from our therapeutic program.
However, students with a primary diagnosis of Conduct Disorder,
students who may have been adjudicated or severe challenging
behavior would NOT be an appropriate match for our program. All
decisions for enrollment are based on information provided by the
family/caregiver, a student visit, and the ability of our program
to design an appropriate individualized program plan with
reasonably expected improvement/growth. Once the file and visit are
complete, we will make a preliminary plan and present it to the
family. If accepted we will move forward to determine the
best enrollment date. We offer open enrollment throughout the
