Nevada Sage Waldorf School is seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic teacher to be Center Director and to work with young children in the classroom, bringing warmth, consistency, and rhythm to our aftercare program. About the Candidate We Seek Our ideal Aftercare Teacher candidate has familiarity with and interest in Waldorf education. This person will uphold the high standards of Waldorf education and our faculty. The daily rhythm will include both indoor and outdoor free play, singing and storytelling, snack times and rest/naps. Children in our Aftercare Program are ages 3 to 6 years old. This is a part-time position 5 days/week (Monday-Friday), afternoon hours. All Aftercare Teachers are expected to provide care and maintenance of the classrooms and outdoor space used during their program. Responsibilities & Experience The Center Director responsibilities are to ensure that the school meets all Washoe County Department of Social Services requirements. A list of these responsibilities will be provided following a candidate`s application submission. The Center Director must have completed 15 semester hours in early childhood education. Childcare experience is required. Applicants with little or no childcare experience will not be considered. About Our School Our early childhood program has been serving the Reno-Tahoe area since 2000, with nursery, preschool, and kindergarten programs. Our grade school now serves grades 1 through 5. Nevada Sage Waldorf School is seeking an experienced Movement & Games Teacher to join our school community for the 2017-18 school year. Responsibilities include; teaching 6 periods per week, 2 per week for each combined class ?? 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th.
