School Notes

  • THE BEGINNING
  • The Torch and Sword Kingdom Academy (TASKA) is an educational ministry of the Lord`s Community Church (TLCC). Since the time TLCC had its first service in 2000, the Lord has graciously planted leaders and parents within the church whose hearts ached because of how far the education system had gone astray from God. TLCC leaders, parents, and church members began praying for God to save the next generation from the world that grew increasingly corrupt and full of the anti-Christ spirit. As an answer to prayer, God paved the way to start The Torch and Sword Summer School (TASSS). Church members, parents, and teachers witnessed students at the summer school encountering Jesus and radically committing their lives to God. Not too long after, the word spread out and students outside of the church, including international students, began coming to to encounter Jesus and receive a head start in their academic study. Many prayed for long-term discipleship opportunities for the students to grow in a community with a firm foundation in spirit, academics, and social skills.
  • THE VISION
  • TASKA was birthed in January 2012 in Norcross, Georgia. Its foundational purpose is to raise up a generation of consecrated and faithful men and women of God who will choose to love God and to bless all nations. TASKA pursues a type of Christian education that:Disciples leaders, like Joshua, who believed in God and fought to reclaim the Promised Land.Equips holy and wise men, like Daniel, who feared God in the realm of political influence.Prepares women of God`s wisdom, like Esther, who saved her nation.TASKA did not limit itself in Norcross, GA, to raise up leaders for all nations. We became government qualified to accept international students. We believe that no social affiliation or ethnic background can limit students` learning. Thus, TASKA is committed to express equal love, respect, and academic opportunities for every student.TASKA believes that through this school and its students, America will be restored and God`s will will be done throughout the nations. For this reason, TASKA`s board, faculty, and staff are committed to faithfully serve the students by continuously praying for them and the next generation- as well as walking on the path of following Christ, through obedience and intimacy, and becoming the examples for the next generation to follow.
