The Lutheran High School Association of Greater Minneapolis became a reality in 1959 with the membership of nine area Lutheran congregations.
A building in Minneapolis was purchased, and in the fall of 1963 Lutheran High School opened with 89 students in grades nine and ten.
Each year a grade was added, and in 1966 Lutheran High School graduated its first class.
A new partnership with Concordia Academy in Roseville, Minnesota began in the 2004-2005 school year, and in July 2005, Lutheran High School became Concordia Academy-Bloomington.
The school retains the same programs, mascot, and school colors it had has Lutheran High School.
Concordia Academy, a Lutheran school, provides Christian learning opportunities that invite spiritual growth while nurturing academic excellence.
Concordia Academy-Bloomington admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
