Compositive Primary is truly a wonderful and unparalleled school. The entire administration, faculty, and staff are so friendly and helpful. Everyone is heavily invested in knowing who our children are as unique individuals and finding ways to support their academic and social/emotional development. The parents too are so friendly. It feels like a community with the shared goal of cultivating a nurturing environment for the children to develop a passion for learning and exploring who they are. One example that sticks out in my mind is that our youngest child started this year and she always had me carry her in for the first couple of months. One day she said I`d like to walk in and then each member of the staff noticed her walking from the car to her classroom and cheered for her. It left such an impression that she walks in and generally runs straight outside to be with her friends instead of having me carry her and then not wanting me to leave. What I hadn`t realized was that her teacher talked to her about trying to walk in the day before she decided to, but what is also truly unique is that the other staff were as unaware of the conversation between her and her teacher, as I but each had independently noticed and cheered for her. They are very supportive of all aspects of our children`s development. We have two very different children and both are flourishing. Our oldest in first grade is developing a love of math and reading, which is going well. She will talk about something they are learning and practice on her own. Our youngest has had an explosion in curiosity about the things she observes around her. She would generally point things out that she found interesting, but now she points them out and follows up with multiple insightful questions. The school is doing a great job of supporting academics, instilling a love of learning, igniting curiosity, and supporting children as individuals. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of this school and community. I firmly believe this very comprehensive and unique foundation provided by the school will help them to know who they are, set them up with skills to be successful in their endeavors, and help provide the tools and mindset to make a positive difference in their lives of others around them.

"What a Rainbow Unicorn of a School" is how Compositive Primary was described to me. There might not be a more accurate description. Our two children have thrived under the whole-child model and amazing child-to-teacher ratios. Students excel in the traditional metrics, and the school provides incredible social and emotional learning and support. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The small size and convenient location enhance the close-knit community feeling. I love getting to know all of these families that share in wanting the best for the children as learners and people. The staff all meet our very different children where they are at. They know them (and us), care about them, and customize their learning and human journey. I truly believe this model works well for all children because of this level of individualization and exceptional staff.
