One of the core values at DCS is academic excellence. The following areas exemplify this at DCS: First, our teachers and staff are state-licensed with an average of 16 years of experience. Second, we invest in quality curriculum. Lastly, academic excellence is evident in our students' achievements and test scores.
At DCS, we encourage a healthy, competitive spirit and working hard for the win. However, we care more about our athletes' character than what their stats are at the end of their school career. Our heart and soul is to foster integrity in all aspects of student life, and that includes athletics. We offer sports for students in grades 6-12.
At Delaware Christian School, we strive for excellence in the musical arts. We believe that musical talent is a gift from the Lord, and it is our goal to cultivate these abilities. Choir and band concerts are an excellent way to display the God-given talents of our students.
Each year, mission trips are offered for our students. This year, our senior class trip is to Costa Rica for a 5 day mission to a school. Our seniors will host a Vacation Bible School while there to minister to the families in that area.
It is a tradition for our eighth grade students to participate in the Washington D.C. trip. This week-long educational experience is an excellent way to enhance the historical lessons taught throughout their upcoming high school years.
During out annual Legacy Servathon, students help in the community. This past year we ministered to 14 locations throughout the Delaware area. This ranged from picking up trash at the Fairgrounds to weeding flowerbeds at Family Promise. We look forward to helping others in our community in the upcoming years.
Elementary Career Day is one of the highlights of the school year. We have guests come to our school such as the fire department, a bee keeper, police officers, a farmer, and more! The students truly enjoy learning all of the careers around our area on this special day.
A special event at DCS is Feast Day. All the staff and students share in a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal. The community leaders, law enforcement officers, and fire department personnel are invited, too.
- Delaware Christian School partners with parents and students to promote academic excellence while developing lifelong learners who embrace a biblical worldview. Here at DCS, we endeavor to nurture each child physically, socially, and academically. In the classroom, our experienced, licensed teachers instruct from a biblical worldview, and our staff faithfully mentors students to recognize their gifts and potential for service to God and their community.

We have two boys that have attended Delaware Christian School since they both were school aged. We chose Delaware Christian for their strong academics and student to teacher ratio. In addition, it was essential that our boys be taught how to live a Christian life with Jesus in their hearts. We recommend that you take the time and visit our school. You will be glad you did!

The only way private schools can build their financial security is through gifts. Major gifts offer proof of how deeply many donors feel about their private schools. Their munificence is a wonderful example to others.
