Archbishop Hennessy Catholic School was founded in the fall of 1987 as the result of a consolidation between St. Boniface School in New Vienna and SS. Peter and Paul School in Petersburg. At the time of consolidation, Father Wilfred Johannes was the pastor of St. Boniface parish and Father Albert Manternach was pastor at SS. Peter and Paul. In 1986-87, the pastors, in conjunction with Principals Sister Ruth Schock and Dave Gross, and both parish school boards of were instrumental in the smooth transition from two separate schools to one consolidated school. Following consolidation, Dave Gross became the new principal. At this time, the principal is Vicki Palmer. The mission of Hennessy Catholic School is to utilize an active partnership between home and school to educate the whole child academically, emotionally, socially, culturally and physically within a Catholic values based program....
