Canton-Galva’s volleyball team opened Class 2A sub-state play Saturday with a stunning upset of Olpe, but ran out of magic in the second round. C-G shocked Olpe 25-18, 26-24 in the first round. The McPherson area will be a basketball mecca starting today. Games begin at 5 p.m. at four sites -- McPherson College (two gyms), Elyria Christian School and Moundridge. The 9th-10th girls and boys will be playing at the college, with McPherson High having teams entered in both divisions.
