Mary Ellen McCorgary, 80, of Geuda Springs, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at the family farm, surrounded by her family. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Aaron Watters says if he had a campaign slogan in his bid for a first term on the local school board, it would be: "Put pride back in our schools." Watters says he has a passion for education. In fact, a main reason he chose to came to Arkansas City 12 years ago was because it had good schools.
