Kennedy Krieger school, is a nationally recognized “Blue Ribbon School of Excellence”, and is a leader in providing model programs of innovative education for children, adolescents and young adults with a wide range of learning, emotional, physical, neurological, and developmental disabilities. The Kennedy Krieger School Staff are certified/licensed by the Maryland State Department of Educatio or appropriate professional organizations. All staff must maintain current certification or licensure as well as other related professional credentials. The goal of Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Department of Special Education is to provide a number of special education and related services to children with disabilities in a variety of school-based, hospital-based and recreational settings. The Kennedy Krieger School Programs offer special education and related services in a day-school setting to students ages 6 to 21with a wide range of learning, emotional, physical, neurological, and developmental disabilities. Special education services focus on the development of academic, social, emotional and behavioral skills through trans-disciplinary comprehensive instruction in an environment that assists students to recognize and capitalize on their individual strengths....
