The Kennedy Krieger School Staff are certified/licensed by the Maryland State Department of Educatio or appropriate professional organizations.

The goal of Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Department of Special Education is to provide a number of special education and related services to children with disabilities in a variety of school-based, hospital-based and recreational settings.
The Kennedy Krieger School Programs offer special education and related services in a day-school setting to students ages 6 to 21with a wide range of learning, emotional, physical, neurological, and developmental disabilities.
Special education services focus on the development of academic, social, emotional and behavioral skills through trans-disciplinary comprehensive instruction in an environment that assists students to recognize and capitalize on their individual strengths.
