Zeno estate to aid Mankato students (Minnesota State Universty Reporter)

A $1.1-million scholarship endowment gift from the estate of Warner A. Zeno will go to Minnesota State students from Mankato and will generate approximately $40,000 per year. Applications for the scholarships, which are for incoming freshmen who were born in Mankato and attended the Mankato School District, are expected to be available sometime next semester.

An endowment will be set up that will generate about $40,000 annually for scholarships that can only be given to students who hail from the Mankato area after Minnesota State University received a large donation from Warner Zeno, who died in January.
