Metro Open School is a small, private non-profit school begun in 1972 by parents who wanted an alternative education for their children where students are encouraged to set individualized goals and develop in a creative and supportive atmosphere. Metro Open School is located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The core principal at Metro Open School is to use the student's individual interests to fuel their education. The staff discovers what the student is interested in, then uses that information to tailor a program for each student that uses their own interests to propel them to learn.
