The mission of Saint Thomas Academy is to help young men build a solid foundation of responsible leadership within themselves, the Academy, the Catholic Church, and the community. Founded in 1885 by Archbishop John Ireland, the Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory, military/leadership school for young men in grades 7-12. The school's tradition, discipline, and spirit influence the life of a young man long after graduation. The mission of Saint Thomas Academy is accomplished by developing the intellectual, spiritual, moral and physical potential of each young man; and fostering the knowledge and practice of leadership so that a young man has confidence in being a leader and in choosing which leader to follow.
