Among the activities the children partake in include arts & crafts, parachute games, a brief tour of the school, and the experience to worship our Lord in chapel. Kindergarten day gives an opportunity to show the children that learning about their savior continues into High School where "the big kids learn about Jesus also". This year there were 54 Kindergarteners among 5 different schools, all of which received their very own "Future Warrior" T-shirt. A special thanks to all who help put on this annual event.")

With the theme of "Fear the Beard", students, faculty, staff and families of West Lutheran enjoyed this exciting week. Not only was homecoming week filled with dress-up days and decorations throughout the school, but also a homeroom competition where points are awarded to best dressed, best decorated room and winners of the homeroom olympic contests. This year's dress-up days were: Career Day, WLHS Day, Clash/Nerd Day, Movie Character Day and Spirit Day. The homeroom olympics consisted of hula hoop, arm wrestling, shoe pile, three-legged race, lightening basketball, pie eating, and saltine and bubble gum contests. This year's homeroom olympics champion was Mr. Veach's homeroom. The victors will be treated with an ice cream sundae party. The spirit week finale was the pep fest complete with cheerleaders and students cheering, pep band playing, mascot tricycle races, team captain competitions, boys and girls pinata soccer game, student representative pie throwing, and football team dance-off. Besides the spirit activities during the week, the West varsity teams were very busy. The volleyball team had a great win against Brooklyn Center, but lost to top-ranked Southwest Christian later in the week.
