Before starting the Well school, it was a daily struggle to get my daughter to go to public school. Every day was filled with her asking me if she could stay home because school was "so boring". My daughter started at the Well in sixth grade and she has not asked me even once to stay home! She absolutely loves school now! She is learning so much more in this first school year than she did in all her years combined at her previous schools. She is embracing the full work load and absolutely loves the extracurricular activities such as band, extra Art and the school plays! She is also looking forward to 4-H starting in february, especially since they have there own barn with animals right on campus. My only regret is that she didn't start here sooner! Oh how many morning struggles I could have avoided, but as they say, better late than never! I would recommend this school to everyone!

I have 2 children in this school and travel 35 minutes each way to bring them here. We have been here for 4 years and have no plans of changing. The environment here is like no other. Children are exposed to art, public speaking, cultures, farming, lots of outdoors, theater, and so much more! The educational approach is unparalleled. Children don't just learn here...they learn HOW to learn. We are able to include our kids in competitive sports as well as all inclusive sports where kids can feel free to play without judgment. From preschool up, kids learn to speak on stage in front of an audience in our theater. We have a kitchen that focuses on local, organic, and natural foods! Our kids even learn "where" food actually comes from. They learn to respect the environment, their food sources, as well as each other. You will find our school is more of a community than a corporation. Parents are involved at every level, a lot!!! Our classes are intermingled much of the time. Older students visit the younger ones to help with many academic and social skills. The list goes on and on!!! If you are looking for an alternative to public education and you value a wholesome approach focused on the children and community, check out the school. Come take a tour...I promise...you won't want to leave.

The Well School is the ideal combination of nature's classroom and academic rigor. Many private schools in the country excel in one area but very few excel at both. Every parent should wish for a community-based education that teaches their children to aim to be a good student and a good person - The Well grants that wish.

We have been at The Well School for five years. Each year my child is excited to return and loves to be at school. When we started in preschool my son was very shy. He has grown to love being on stage, is excited to take a lead roles in a play, enjoys meeting new friends, and most importantly is self confident. We love The Well and the community. Knowing that your child is supported, loved, cared for, and heard is a such a wonderful feeling!

The Well School has been an amazing place for my three children to excel in so many areas. They graduated the Well with amazing study habits, a love of the theater, passion about many different sports, appreciation for the arts, and academically at the top of both the public high school as well as a very academically challenging private high school. The Well teaches kids to take pride in their own education, and challenges them to rise to the high standards that are set with in the school.

This is a classic example of it takes a village, and it does! The Well focuses on the whole child. Our children have learned to public speak since preschool through poetry, theatre, dance, spelling bees, coffee houses, and more. The motto ''no child left inside'' is real. They ice skate every day in the winter. They ski on Fridays. Every age has a part in the exceptional theatre productions. Most importantly they learn to question and explore. They learn a sense of self, and that is priceless.
