St Teresa Regional School
School Notes Overview:
Saint Teresa Regional School exists to provide that atmosphere in which the threefold dimension of Message, Community and Service may grow and flourish. Our teachers aim to integrate religious truth and values with the rest of life not only by the uniqueness of the curriculum but by the example of their lives. The teachers of St. Teresa Regional School, by the personal witness of their own faith and through organized programs of instruction, strive to foster faith as a lifelong relationship with God, guide moral decision making with consciences formed by the Gospel and promote the two great commandments in roles of service. In the middle grades, students learn more about what it means to be a Catholic Christian by studying the Trinity, the Holy Bible, the morality of the Ten Commandments, the Precepts of the Church, the Beatitudes and the Sacraments. Students on all levels participate in service projects, help prepare and participate in school liturgies and prayer services, spiritual reflections, journal, and use classroom discussion to further their understanding of the Catholic faith. All efforts in this area of curriculum support our students’ ongoing development of personal spirituality and relationship with the triune God. We, the St. Teresa Regional School Community strive to follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before us in faith. We desire to imitate the little way of St. Teresa. We use our time and talent to build up the kingdom of God by loving and serving his son in daily acts of kindness and concern for others. We will share and live Jesus by using our gifts for his honor and glory. Religious instruction in Saint Teresa Regional School is the underlying reality in which the students’ experiences of learning and living achieve coherence and meaning. Instruction in human knowledge and skills derive their most profound significance from God’s plan for His creation. Through the competence of a responsible and dedicated faculty, Saint Teresa Regional School strives to help students to develop spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, and physically....
