Alexandra Patz watch as Jessina Carroll, a nurse at the Ryan Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center, administer a swine flu vaccine nasal mist to her 4-year-old son, Douglas, in New York on Thursday. The private nonprofit health center has seen a steady flow of individuals asking for the vaccine.

A benefit for the family of Kim Ball, of East Syracuse, will be noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the DeWitt Town Hall and nearby Ryder Park. Ball, 51, was the director of parks and recreation for the town and died April 12 after a battle with cancer.
