    World War II was still raging when John Bedzyk founded what would become the Elmira Christian Center in 1944.

    I have been attending the Elmira Christian Center for 50 years. It is the most awesome church! Our family is a success today because we found God at ECC. Brother John, the founder, had a vision to see Elmira changed for the better.

    *MA3 Bryan D. Coleman, son of Chip and Judy Coleman of Horseheads, was recently promoted to his current rank at ceremonies held at the Naval Reserve Center in Syracuse. Coleman, a 2007 graduate of Elmira Christian Academy, attends Corning Community College.

    FOR THE REVIEW In the opening round of the Greater Finger Lakes Christian Athletic Association playoffs North Rome found itself in a defensive battle. However, in the opening six minutes of play you would have never guessed that was what the game would become.
