School Notes Overview:
Saint Angela Merici School provides a hot lunch through the Archdiocesan School Nutrition program or the local Department or Board of Education In order to participate in a free or reduced lunch program, parents must complete a form that will be distributed in September. Criteria for eligibility is noted on the form. If your child is not eligible for a free or reduced lunch program, and you wish your child to participate in the hot lunch program, you must send lunch money to the school on a weekly basis, in an envelope marked with your child’s name, your child’s class, and the amount of money. The envelope must clearly state Lunch Money. Saint Angela Merici School exists to serve the educational and spiritual needs of the children, and its model and hope is Jesus Christ. As a Catholic School, the school community believes in, upholds and defends the human dignity of all the members of the community. The professed aim of Saint Angela Merici School is to assist the children in their formation, in their struggle to achieve competence and excellence in basic academic skills, and most importantly to become holy, civilized, well-rounded, compassionate, spiritual young women and men, thus realizing their full potential as children of God. The school motto, "SERVIAM", is a Latin word meaning "I Shall Serve", and it is the object of the school that its community be worthy of this call, that each individual serves and loves each other....
