Alot of the students at Stevens Prep Academy have learning difficulties and different learning styles, A.D.H.D. and O.D.D. are our specialties. In all classes, students work at their own pace on their own level. At Stevens Prep Academy, all classes have a maximum teacher-student ratio of 5 to 1. Currently we have 4 to 1 ratios. A typical day at Stevens Prep Academy begins at 9:00 a.m. with students getting their daily sheets which has their day already planned for them with times, classes and class work.Each day has three 45 minute classes, then a 15 minute snack break, then two more 45 minute classes and ending at 1:00 p.m. On Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays we shorten each class by 10 minutes and add a sixth period for Physical Education(Tae Kwon Do, Weight Training). Students are graded every day in each class on the daily sheet which are then e-mailed home to parents. Each student is tested weekly and must pass each test in each subject with an 80% mastery level or the content is repeated the next week. We have annual graduation ceremonies.
