St Peter's School strives to develop an instructional program responsive to school and community needs and to various abilities and talents of our students in order that development of the whole child takes place. St. Peter's Catholic School opened in 1946 on West Fifth Street in Greenville. Saint Peter’s is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and was the first school in the Diocese of Raleigh to be SACS accredited. Our school is also accredited by the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina. Curriculum Saint Peters offers an academic program made up of an extensive core curriculum. In conjunction with the core curriculum, students, take courses in the fine arts, humanities, physical education, computer science, and library research. Life skills seminars and a proactive guidance/counseling department contribute to the overall development of each student in preparation for lifelong learning. Our mission is two-fold: First, as a Catholic School, we aim to "teach as Jesus taught" by instilling a solid Christian foundation built on attitudes, values, and virtues which Christ holds up to each child....
