McALISTERVILLE - The Juniata Mennonite School 33rd annual benefit auction is scheduled for Oct. 2 and 3 at the McAlisterville Community Park and Fire Hall in McAlisterville. On Friday, a chicken and pork barbecue meal is planned for 3 to 7 p.m. Halves cost $4, and dinners are $7. Takouts also will be available. McALISTERVILLE - Juniata Mennonite School survived the rain Friday to post a 1-0 girls soccer victory over visiting Columbia County Christian. McALISTERVILLE - Four Juniata Mennonite School students are leaving paint tracks behind them this school year. With the help of local freelance artist and JMS parent Valerie Moyer, the students created three murals on the school walls, including an ocean scene, a graffiti-style brick wall with their school mascot and a decorative scripture verse along the stairwa. - JMS set to perform an all-original production (The Lewistown Sentinel)

McALISTERVILLE - When Juniata Mennonite School drama students asked to perform their first musical, they had no idea they'd be acting in a brand-new production. Classics like "The Sound of Music" were ruled out because they either required too large of a cast or another local school had already picked the production.
