School Notes Overview:
Wyoming Seminary, with a strong liberal arts tradition, prepares its students to succeed in college and to develop into caring, responsible adults of strong moral character, who will lead and serve their communities. To fulfill our mission as a college preparatory day/boarding school, we teach a rigorous course of studies that gives our students the knowledge and skills needed for success in higher education. In the primary grades, our academic program is tailored to each individual student’s needs, emphasizing the importance of competence in critical thinking, oral and written expression, problem solving, reading, research, and technological applications. The academic program at Seminary is a comprehensive and rigorous course of study that is designed to prepare students for academic success in college while exposing them to a broad based liberal arts education. Wyoming Seminary boasts an unusual variety of courses within the traditional disciplines of English, foreign language, history, mathematics, and science. Each student can chart a course tailored to his or her interests, needs, and abilities through classes created with students’ developmental progress in mind....
