School Reviews

We have three children who have benefitted from the superb education provided by CCES. Our daughter is a 2011 graduate of CCES and is now excelling in her junior year at Clemson University. She was extremely well-prepared as she researched and chose the right university for her. Her academics have been rigorous but she has been confident throughout her college courses, a confidence instilled by her teachers and administrators throughout her education at CCES. Her many extra-curricular activities at CCES have proven to prepare her for life at a large university as well. Our two sons who are now in the Upper School at CCES have also been very well prepared to face the academic demands of a top-notch academic school. They have had the privilege of being on our football team which has just won it''s third State Championship, a feat which gives the players a true sense of "teamwork" and a cause to draw the entire school to a season of celebration. They also take advantage of the opportunity to participate in other varsity sports (such as basketball and baseball), the Student Ambassador Program, various clubs on campus, and even the Achievement Center. We have no doubt that they, too, will benefit just as greatly as their sister in their pursuit of higher education with the excellent base which is provided by Christ Church Episcopal School.

We have two children enrolled in CCES, one in the Upper School and one finishing Middle School and could not be happier with our choice of schools. CCES has provided a warm, nurturing environment for our kids to excell. They are academically challenged and involved in both team sports as well as academic clubs. One of the common comments heard from students as well as parents is how involved the faculty and administration are in their lives. Teachers go out of their way to teach, coach and mentor each student, truly taking a personal interest in them. They provide a comfortable environment for the children to learn in and push themselves for excellence. Both of our children play on the basketball teams as well as each participates in the volleyball and baseball teams. The team sports allow them an opportunity to learn balance, between studies and extra curricular activities as well as further the sense of community and family that is such a part of the CCES environment. In additon the school offers a wide variety of community service opportunities for the children to partake in, teaching them the importance of giving back. Both partake in the special olympics as well as learning center volunteering and soup kitchen ministries. Our son is currently pursuing the IB Diploma and begining his college/university search. The curriculum is rigorous and demanding and at the same time exciting to him. The school College Counseling team began "coaching'' him since his freshman year and are involved in every step of the process. We are confident that he will find the best fit for himself and know he will be well prepared academically and socially for the next step in higher education. CCES is a unique community and we feel blessed to be a part of it.
