Consistent with the National Association of Laboratory Schools’ description of laboratory schools, Greenwood Laboratory School provides the opportunity for Missouri State University students and faculty to engage in clinical field experiences, experimentation, innovation, research, information-sharing and staff development. Through these activities, Greenwood Laboratory School functions within the College of Education to create “a legacy of learning.” In addition, the mission of the Greenwood Laboratory School is consistent with the mission of Missouri State University public affairs mission in that the school produces educated persons at the kindergarten through twelfth grade levels who are competent, confident, creative, caring and life-time learners....

Emily Busiek-Johns, daughter of Dr. Erwin and Dorothy Busiek, Springfield, received a Ph.D in Curriculum Studies from the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) in March.
